Vucic meets with Toennies owner in Germany

Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic is on a one-day visit to Germany, where he met with Clemens Toennies, the owner of the German meat producer Toennies, who has announced investments in Serbia.

“The presence of the Toennies company in Serbia will change the business culture,” Vucic said after a conversation with the German businessman.

Vucic is heading a delegation that also includes Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia President Marko Cadez and Vucic’s economic adviser Danilo Cicmil.

The visit began with a tour of a castle in Rheda, a town where the company is headquartered.

Vucic also met with Theo Mettenborg, mayor of the Rheda-Wiedenbrueck municipality.

Clemens Toennies visited Serbia in February, confirming his intent to establish meat production operations in the country.
