WB: Education among priorities in cooperation

The education sector will be one of the key priorities of cooperation between the Government of Serbia and the World Bank in the forthcoming period.

World Bank Country Manager for Serbia Tony Verheijen said this on Friday.

Verheijen pointed out at a meeting with the minister of education, science and technical development Mladen Sarcevic that the cooperation with the ministry was intensive and successful in the previous period and that many projects are being implemented thanks to joint efforts.

At the meeting, which was held in the Ministry of Education, Verheijen informed minister Sarcevic on projects by this international institution which are being implemented in the education field.

Sarcevic pointed out that the successful cooperation will be continued and that he expects that the number of preschool age children included in the educational system will be increased thanks to the project of the World Bank, it was stated by the Ministry.
