WB forecasts Serbia’s GDP to grow 2.8 pct in 2017

The World Bank (WB) has upped its 2017 forecast for Serbia’s GDP growth to 2.8 percent.

This is 0.5 percentage points higher compared to an initial June 2016 estimate.

In its latest Global Economic Prospects report, the WB retained its 2018 and 2019 growth forecast of 3.5 percent for Serbia.

For the Western Balkans, the World Bank predicted total economic growth of 3.2 percent in 2017, and 3.6 and 3.7 percent in the next two years.

Global economic growth is also expected to accelerate moderately to 2.7 percent in 2017, after unfavorable trends in 2016.
