Year-on-year inflation 8.5 percent in October

The prices of personal consumption products and services in October 2023, compared to September 2023, increased by an average of 0.3 percent, the Republic Statistics Office (RZS) announced today.

Consumer prices in October 2023, compared to the same month of the previous year, increased by 8.5 percent, while compared to December 2022, they increased by seven percent on average.

Observed by main groups of products and services, in October 2023, compared to the previous month, prices increased in the groups Education (2.9 percent), Clothing and footwear (1.7 percent), Health (0.8 percent) , in the groups Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, Equipment for the apartment and current maintenance and Restaurants and hotels (by 0.5 percent each), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.3 percent) and in the groups Transport and Recreation and culture (by 0.2 percent each).
