If 20,000 IT professionals were to graduate this year, they would all be able to find jobs immediately because that is how many of them Serbia needs, says Djordje Djordjevic, president of the BEUM association.
Serbia’s IT sector has made progress in recent years and the working conditions and salaries are at an enviably high level, says the association, which specialises in informal education and brings together IT experts.
“People are earning good money in the IT sector, the conditions are better than in other professions. Progress is visible, the community is growing every day and the most noticeable fact is that there are jobs to be found there,” Djordjevic said.
The Serbian IT market is yet to develop even further, helped by the high quality of sevices, “a recognisable trait of Serbian IT professionals,” he said.
