The International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, which was visited by 32,115 people, was marked by the promotion of the future of the Serbian tourism industry in the sign of the concept of Serbia creates, a national platform that affirms the values ​​of modern and creative Serbia, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications announced today.

Only on the first day of the four-day fair, which ended on Sunday, 7,833 visitors asked for information on current events and conditions for travel.

During the first two days of the event, whose program is reserved for the economy, business contacts and the media, the fair was visited by numerous guests from abroad, and there was great interest in offers related to domestic tourism, reports Tanjug.

The fair was attended by about 400 participants from more than 25 countries around the world such as Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, Tunisia, Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Maldives, while individual exhibitors from Albania, Croatia and Slovenia.

For the first time, visitors had the opportunity to see the offer of three new attractive destinations, the exotic Malaysia and the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, as well as Angola, according to the Ministry.

They add that the Tourist Organization of Serbia (TOS) presented a new brand “Serbia. Experience it! ”, With the idea that tourists should look back on Serbia as a tourist destination that needs more attention.

The fair was attended by more than 40 domestic and foreign tour operators, the Tourist Organization of Belgrade and more than 100 tourist organizations of cities and municipalities offering spas, mountains and destinations in Serbia.

TOS organized a round table with representatives of local tourism organizations, in order to exchange opinions and shape plans for the future.

The Secretariat for Economy and Tourism of Vojvodina organized all-day presentations of Vojvodina’s sights, with the announcement of the first international hybrid manifestation of recreational e-cycling in Serbia, the Tour de Fruška.

This year, the Belgrade Fair, within the International Tourism Fair and in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the European Entrepreneurship Network, realized a B2B business program on whose platform 4,500 views were recorded and more than 370 business meetings were scheduled.

In addition to the Tourism Fair, the International Fair of Hotel and Catering Equipment HORECA-Equipment was traditionally held, which presented new trends in the hotel industry and catering, as well as the International Wine Fair Beovajn, dedicated to presenting domestic and foreign producers, wine lovers and importers, Politika writes.
