Copper mine, mined in March in three mines in Bor and one in Majdanpek, was “heavy” less than 1.7 million tons.
Its processing in flotation, for the first time since the arrival of Zijin, extracted over five thousand tons of copper in concentrate.
“In all aspects of Serbia’s business, Zijin Copper has made a noticeable shift. It is evident that we have also started in the fields of safety management and environmental protection, and this is visible at all levels of production,” said Serbia’s CEO of Zijin Copper Jian Ximing.
Proper management of all branches of Serbia Zijin Copper and its factories and plants has led to progress in all aspects of the company’s business, the company said.
“For the first time since Zijin’s arrival, over five thousand tons of copper in concentrate were produced in a month, more precisely 5,188 tons,” said Jian Ximing.

An additional 300 tons of copper arrived from Bor’s “Jama” in March.

In the first quarter of 2021, 19.8 million tons of overburden were removed and 5.2 million tons of ore were mined. In the same period, 15,082 tons of copper in concentrate were produced in flotation plants, B92 reports.
