Al Dahra Serbia launches the AgroBusiness School program

The global leader in agriculture, Al Dahra Serbia, is launching the AgroBusiness School educational program, with the aim of promoting the employment of young people in this sector and providing them with the opportunity to acquire and improve various professional skills. The project is intended for final and master students of the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, combines theoretical modules and paid practical teaching, with the possibility of employment upon completion of the program.

Applications for the competition are open until September 15th on the Faculty’s website, and the program will last from October 17th, 2023 to October 31st, 2024. As the company points out, Al Dahra launched this unique program with the idea of ​​promoting the development of agriculture, bearing in mind that young experts are the basis for the development of any industry.

“The cooperation that was established between the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade and the Al Dahra Serbia company not only represents an extraordinary opportunity, but also a big step towards the transformation and improvement of the agribusiness sector in Serbia and the region. Through this valuable synergy, young talents will have the opportunity to upgrade and apply the knowledge acquired during their studies.

We are determined to invest in the further development of the agricultural industry in our country, and we are convinced that investing in young people is one of the best ways to do that,” said Ivana Mihajlović, HR director of Al Dahra.

AgroBusiness School offers a comprehensive program that will enable participants to acquire and improve skills that are necessary for the successful work of individuals, teams and organizations today and in the future. The program is designed so that the participants go through the theoretical part for the first five months, focusing on knowledge from the basics of management, leadership, communication, teamwork and other “soft skills”, and this part of the program will be in charge of Franklin Covey Serbia, headed by lecturer Miroslav Živković.

After that, there will be modules for practical improvement in the areas of work organization, such as resource management in plant and livestock production, familiarization with the processes of sales, procurement, finance and other relevant aspects of business, for which, in the capacity of lecturers, long-term experts from Al Dahre.

One of the key moments of the program is the paid internship that will start in March 2024 at Al Dahra Serbia. During this part of the program, participants will have the opportunity to become more familiar with the specifics of various agricultural operations and business processes in the field, with the support of experienced mentors.

This effort included the modernization of the existing infrastructure and the construction of a new one, as well as the procurement of modern machinery and equipment.
