Elicio Wind, which has built the Alibunar and Malibunar wind farms, intends to continue investing and increasing its share of the green energy market in Serbia.
“We have started new projects on the territory of the City of Pancevo. We have submitted requests to the local self-government and we expect a positive outcome after the constitution of the new city government,” the company’s manager for Serbia, Christoph Bols, told eKapija.
According to him, the company is satisfied with the business environment in Serbia, which is why they intend to increase their presence on the Serbian market.
They are aware, he adds, that feed-in tariffs and state subsidies will be abolished, but they are also ready for that, because they are already operating within the auction system in other European countries.
When asked what local governments can expect in which wind farm projects are realized, that is, what benefits Alibunar had, Bols said that as a responsible investor, who understands the needs of the environment in which he invests and is responsible for them, Elicio donated to the local community.
“We are determined to continue to help financially, through agreements on financing projects of importance to the local community, and we will do that in the places where we will start new projects,” B92 reports.
