Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister to open today a road in Serbia

Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan is leaving for Serbia today.

The Ministry informs that the purpose of the visit is to participate in the opening of automobile trunk road Ljig-Bolkovci, Bolcovci-Takovo and Takovo-Preljina.

During the visit to Serbia, Minister Mustafayev will meet with several officials and discuss the development of relationships between the two countries.

In February 2012 then Economic Development of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic of Serbia signed a loan agreement on financing the construction of roads in Serbia. The €300 million loan was given for 15-year period with 3-year grace term at annual rate of 4%. Azerbaijan’s AzWirt is the general contractor for the construction of highways at the expense of this loan.
