The Belgrade-based company Bard-Kop DOO (Bard-Kop) is a new shareholder that owns five percent of the shares of the Macedonian construction company Granit. According to the notification sent to the Macedonian Stock Exchange by the local company, and according to the inspection at the Central Securities Register, this company based in New Belgrade now owns 155,346 ordinary shares of the issuer of securities GD Granit AD Skopje, which represent 5.61 percent of the total shares with the right to vote.

Bloomberg Adria wrote on several occasions about the changes in Granit’s shareholders, and according to the latest situation, apart from Bard-Kop, shares over five percent of the total capital are owned by the Granit Construction Company with 9.81 percent of ordinary shares, and Ivana and Zoran Milkovski have 8. 84 percent and 8.9 percent respectively.

We analyzed which Belgrade company became the largest shareholder of Granit. It is a company that was founded in October 2019 and whose main activity is the construction of roads and highways. According to financial data, the company has total revenues of 91.8 million dinars (783,366 euros) in 2020 and 269.7 million dinars (2.3 million euros) in 2021.

Last year, the company’s total profit was 73.7 million dinars (628,718 euros). In 2021, the company had 45 employees.

As we wrote, the open mandatory pension fund “Sava” left the ownership structure of Granit after a package of 236,120 shares of the construction company was sold at the public auction held on the Macedonian Stock Exchange. The package of shares, which represented 7.69 percent of Granit’s ownership, was sold at a price of MKD 1,450 per share, i.e. for a total of MKD 342 million (around EUR 5.5 million).

Previously, the management of the construction company also bought shares, Bloomberg Adria reports.
