The Government of Serbia announced that it has adopted a program for the use of subsidies intended for tourist guides and tourist companions. As it was emphasized, the funds will be allocated in the amount of 260 euros for each tourist guide and tourist companion.
The money from the aid will be paid into a dinar current account with commercial banks, and the program adopted by the government is defined as aid that is granted due to difficulties in doing business during the coronary virus pandemic.
The goals of the program, as it is written in the text of the decree, are the preservation of the tourist industry, support to the providers of tourist services, preservation of employment in the field of tourism, recovery of that branch and planning of the next tourist season.
The funds determined by the program are allocated non-refundable, and the payment will be made by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services.
The right to non-refundable funds can be exercised by tourist guides and tourist companions who are citizens of the Republic of Serbia and who have passed the professional exam for a tourist guide or tourist companions.
The main condition for receiving assistance is to have a valid ID to perform these activities.
Among the conditions, it is stated that it is necessary for tourist guides and companions not to be employed, including the company of which they are a possible founder or member.
It is also necessary that the applicants for assistance are not employed on the basis of work outside the employment relationship, that they do not perform entrepreneurial activity independently, as well as that they are not beneficiaries of the right to a pension.
As it was emphasized, the verification of the fulfillment of the conditions will be performed by the competent ministry, on the basis of the official records of tourist guides and tourist companions, as well as in the Central Register of Compulsory Social Insurance.
After the inspection, the ministry will make a final list of tourist guides and tourist companions who meet the conditions for receiving subsidies, Nova Ekonomija reports.
