The German company ZF, which also has a factory in Serbia, will no longer develop components for internal combustion engines, but will focus on plug-in hybrids and exclusively electric vehicles, ZF said in a statement.
In ZF, it was decided to form a unique – new division from the division for passenger car propulsion technology and e-mobility, in order to offer customers electric solutions for vehicle propulsion systems under the same roof.
“With this step, ZF will consolidate its competencies in order to better respond to the growing electrification of passenger vehicles, improve accessibility to customers and further accelerate the process of transforming propulsion engines into “plug-in hybrids and electric propulsion groups,” the statement said.
ZF has been developing its E-Mobility program in Pancevo for several years, and this year the second phase of the investment as well as the development center is expected to be completed, Politika reports.
