In the vicinity of the Danube quay, in one of the most attractive locations in New Belgrade – Block 11a, a hotel of famous Falkensteiner hotel chain will be opened next year. On a surface of 6,000 square meters, within the complex of Maxima Center, a 12-floor tower with offices and business space will be built. In the city hotel with four stars and commercial buildings, investors Falkensteiner Michaeler (FMTG) and stock company M.O.F. Beta Nekretnine intend to invest EUR 40 million, eKapija learns.
The hotel will comprise 171 rooms of modern design and suites, a top-equipped conference room, a spa center, and an “executive lounge” on the ground floor.
– That is part of the offer that can metaphorically be called “hardware”. “Software”, such as “Welcome home” feeling or “Alpe-Adria” cooking, brings the concept of the hotel group to Falkensteiner hotel in New Belgrade – said Ditmar Rajndl, the FMTG Executive Director.
These companies have the building permit for the “joint venture” project since December 2010 and works on the building site will start very soon. The author of the hotel and business tower project is Boris Podrecca, an architect of Serbian origin who currently lives in Vienna. The project is run by Falkensteiner Group’s daughter company – Michaeler & Partner.
Dr. Alexander Roesler, the Director General of Falkensteiner Michaeler (FMTG), is satisfied with the entrance to the market of Serbia:
– The co-investment of these two companies will not only expand the assortment of products in the field of city hotels of Falkensteiner hotels & residences group, but also result in a unique hotel in Belgrade. I am also very happy that we are taking this step forward in the East. Since we are already successfully running a city hotel in Bratislava, we will soon be able to offer our business users many new significant top destinations.
