The company JFE Shoji Serbia, registered in Novi Beograd, has submitted a request for the determination of the need for an environmental impact assessment for the construction of a complex for the production of metal parts for electric motors in Inđija.
The Mayor of Inđija, Vladimir Gak, announced that the cornerstone for the new Japanese investment in Inđija will be laid on March 18, as reported by local media. Gak stated that the company operates in the automotive industry and that, in the first phase, 200 job positions will be created.
Media reports also mention that this company manufactures rotors and electric motors (for wipers and lifters) for major automotive brands and collaborates with Japanese companies Toyo Tires and Nidec, which are already operating in Serbia.
It was previously reported that the value of this investment is 40 million euros.
On the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR) website, it can be observed that this company was established in Serbia in June of the previous year. Its primary activities include forging, pressing, stamping, and rolling metal, as well as metallurgy of powders. The company is owned by the Japanese JFE Shoji Corporation.
The location of the new factory is in close proximity to the Outlet Shopping Center, right next to the plot where an Aqua Park is being constructed.
