Inflation in Serbia in May was 3.6 percent

Consumer prices in Serbia in May 2021, compared to the same month last year, increased by 3.6 percent, the Republic Bureau of Statistics announced today.

Compared to December 2020, consumer prices have increased by an average of 3.2 percent.

In May 2021, compared to the previous month, price growth was recorded in the groups “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” by one percent, “Clothing and footwear” 0.8, “Restaurants and hotels” 0.7, “Transport” 0, 5 “Health” 0.4, “Apartment, water, electricity, gas and other fuels”, 0.3 percent.

Prices also increased in the groups “Alcoholic beverages and tobacco” and “Recreation and culture” by 0.2 percent each, and Communications by 0.1 percent.

The fall in prices was recorded in the group “Furniture and current maintenance of the apartment” by 0.1 percent.

Prices of other products and services did not change significantly, Danas reports.
