Inflation in Serbia is low and under control

Inflation in Serbia in May this year recorded a growth of 0.5 percent compared to April, while compared to the same month in 2020, it increased by 3.6 percent, according to today’s data from the Republic Bureau of Statistics.
Consumer prices in May compared to December 2020 increased by an average of 3.2 percent.
In May, food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.0 percent on a monthly basis, clothing and footwear by 0.8 percent, restaurants and hotels by 0.7 percent, transport by 0.5 percent, health care by 0.4 percent, and housing and water , electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.3 percent. The prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, as well as recreation and culture, also increased by 0.2 percent, and communications by 0.1 percent.
At the same time, the prices of furniture and current maintenance of the apartment fell by 0.1 percent.
Prices of other products and services did not change significantly, Srbija Danas reports.
