Kopaonik Business Forum opens discussion about fruits of Serbia’s reforms

Serbia’s annual Kopaonik Business Forum kicked off on Sunday in Mt Kopaonik with participants exchanging views on how to improve people’s lives through achieving sustainable growth and further developing various aspects of the country’s economy, after Serbia managed to stabilize its finances through reforms.

It is Serbia’s most influential business forum, and this year it has attracted the participation of top officials of Serbia, experts, businessman from various areas as well as representatives of public enterprises, international and domestic financial organizations.

The prevailing topic of this year’s forum is “Beyond Expansionary Austerity: What Serbia’s economy should do to transfigure fiscal stability into sustainable growth?

Speakers would on Sunday talk about the “Digital Serbia” Initiative and the role of women in the reshaping of the business world.

On Monday the panelists will discuss the fiscal consolidation and the structural reforms in Serbia so far, while on Tuesday a panel will deal with the program of realization of the upcoming reforms when it comes to infrastructure, public sector, education and science, creative economy and innovations.

Wednesday will be reserved for sustainable and inclusive growth, focusing on people and the reform of education in area of health services.

Organizers announced that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will present a special keynote speech at Mt Kopaonik on March 6, while Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will speak on March 7, the closing day of the forum.
