Minth Automotive plans to build another plant in Šabac

The Chinese company Minth Automotive Europe has submitted to the relevant ministry a request for consent to a study on the environmental impact assessment of the project to build a production complex for the automotive industry in Šabac.

As stated in the document prepared in August by the design bureau Set doo from Šabac, the plan is to build a plant for the production of aluminum casings and parts of casings for batteries for electric cars.

The location of the plant is in the industrial zone of the city of Šabac, in the Majur settlement, within the already existing complex of the Minth company with the same activity.

In addition to the planned location, there is a UATE facility (United Alloy-Tech Europe doo), which belongs to the Minth company, and right next to the lot is the facility of the Minal smelter, which will be technologically connected to the future complex, the document states.

The construction of the facility includes a production facility, a water treatment facility, a waste storage facility and other supporting facilities, with a total gross built-up area of ​​84,736 square meters.

The complex will annually produce around 760,000 units of products, which are parts of the aluminum battery housing or the battery housing itself for use in the automotive industry.
