Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced that another meeting would be held tomorrow with representatives of the sectors most affected by the coronavirus epidemic.
At the meeting, which, as he stated, will be held in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the possibilities of additional assistance will be discussed.
“Tomorrow, we will inform the public what we agreed on, and whenever we finish those negotiations, we will go to the government session and define the measures,” Mali told Tanjug.
He expects, he says, that tomorrow the Government of Serbia, PKS and representatives of the catering, tourism, transport, logistics and other affected sectors will present a joint proposal and that a solution will be found to the mutual satisfaction.
Mali added that businessmen from those sectors are already using the existing measures adopted by the state in order to combat the negative consequences of coronavirus, such as the minimum wage, the possibility to be exempt from paying taxes and contributions, and they have the opportunity to use loans from the Development Fund and guarantee scheme.
“A large number of these companies are already using it, now the question is whether we can offer them something extra,” said Mali, Tanjug reports.
