The City Administration of Bor, the Department for Urban Planning, Construction, Communal, Property – Legal and Housing Affairs announced an early public inspection regarding the preparation of a plan for the detailed regulation of the area of the „Snaga Istoka“ Wind Power Plant in the territory of the City of Bor. As stated in the plan, the total installed capacity of the wind farm is expected to be 300 MW.

The area covered by the plan Is approximately 2,699.88 hectares and this includes parts of the cadastral municipalities of Krivelj, Gornjane, Bučje, Luka, Topla, Donja Bela Reka and Tanda. The scope of the plan, as stated, is mainly forest and to a lesser extent agricultural land.

As part of the scope of the plan, in the zones that have been shown to be suitable by analysis, it is planned to install 41 wind generators, each with a power of 7.2 MW, and the total installed power of the wind power plant is rounded to 300 MW. The final technical solution in terms of the number and location of wind generators will be determined in the phase of drafting the planning document.

From each of the wind generators, a 35kV power cable descends through the pylon to the ground. Four wind generators are connected to the same cable that transports the produced electricity to the transformer station/distribution facility. The location of the connection of the wind farm to the electricity distribution system will be determined by the EPS conditions, which will be issued during the Plan development procedure.

The preliminary type and dimensions of the wind generator envisaged is the VESTAS V172-7.2 MW.

Early public review will last until July 10, 2023.

Let us remind you that in the middle of 2022, the City Council of the city of Bor adopted a proposal for a decision on the development of a plan for the detailed regulation of the Snaga East wind farm on the territory of the city, and at that time it was said that the wind farm will stretch along Veliki Krs, Stol mountain and Deli Jovan “with a power of 450 megawatt hours “.

Project holder CRNI VRH POWER d.o.o. Žagubica, submitted in July 2022 to the Ministry of Environmental Protection a request for consent to the Environmental Impact Assessment Study of the project for the construction of the Crni vrh wind farm.

As previously announced, the value of this domestic investment in the wind park is estimated at around 100 million euros. It is planned to install 32 wind generators within the area of the wind power plant – 11 in the territory of Bor, 4 in the territory of Majdanpek and 17 in the territory of Žagubica.
