Serbia could get into the top 20 of the World Bank Doing Business list by the end of the current government’s term, Tony Verheijen, World Bank Country Manager for Serbia, said Wednesday.
A top 50 spot for Serbia – which ranks 47th in the latest Doing Business list – is a great success for the country, Verheijen said, adding that, just two years ago, the situation had not been so good.
Serbia has become an excellent place to invest and do business in, Verheijen told reporters ahead of a presentation of the World Bank Doing Business report at a conference on strengthening Serbia’s competitiveness, organised by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development.
