EUR 175 million from EU pre-accession funds will become available to Serbia as early as late next year, Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic announced on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters while on a visit to the Srem administrative district, she said that her ministry has already prepared a programme and that it has been adopted by the European Commission, noting that it is an IPARD programme, where the funds go to rural development.
In the coming months, intensive efforts will be underway in terms of preparations of the operative structure and technical training to enable the country to draw those funds, she said.
Serbian farmers will be able to apply with their projects and there will be education and training provided for them, Bogosavljevic Boskovic said.
