Serbia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PKS) Secures Contracts Exceeding Eight Million Euros in Germany

Companies from Serbia that participated in the International Trade Fair for Organic Food “Biofach” in Nuremberg, Germany, have secured contracts exceeding eight million euros, announced the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) today.

“Initial analyses of the participation of Serbian companies at the largest specialized International Trade Fair for organic food, Biofach, show that domestic firms had more than 900 B2B meetings with buyers from the region, as well as from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, the United States, and Canada,” said Bojana Lalović from the PKS Trade Fair Organization Center.

According to her statement, the estimated value of the contracted export deals is more than eight million euros with signed contracts.

At the trade fair held in Germany from February 13 to 16, eight Serbian companies presented themselves at the Serbia Pavilion. These companies include “Menex” and “MDDP Janić” from KruÅ¡evac, “Ecoagri Serbia” from Bela Crkva, “Frutorga” from Prokuplje, “Medino” from Krnjevo, “ITN GROUP” from Belgrade, “Es Komerc” from Prijepolje, and “DBA Promet” from Arilje.

“As part of the national pavilion of Serbia, under the slogan ‘We speak organic,’ Serbian organic producers presented a wide range of products, including fresh, dried, and frozen fruits and vegetables, fruit purees, cereal products, organic pasta, fruit spreads, and organic honey,” Lalović stated.

She added that this year’s fair hosted 2,550 exhibitors from 94 countries worldwide and provided an opportunity for Serbian companies to engage with global distributors, retail chains, and importers in the organic production sector, demonstrating its resilience to crises.

This year, for the first time, a study visit was organized to the trade fair for organic and natural cosmetics, “VIVANESS,” which is held as part of the “Biofach” fair.

The trade fair for organic and natural cosmetics was visited by six producers of organic and natural cosmetics from Serbia: “All Nut,” “MNS,” “Najbolje iz prirode,” “Amelles kozmetika,” “Matrina cosmetics,” and “Royal Balm.”

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS), approximately 35,000 visitors from 128 countries attended the leading global trade fair for organic food, “Biofach,” and the International Trade Fair for Natural and Organic Cosmetics, “VIVANESS.”

This year’s presentation of Serbia was organized under the slogan “We speak organic – Organic products from Serbia – Tradition Transformed into Innovation,” with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Development Agency of Serbia in collaboration with the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) and the National Association “Serbia Organica,” as stated in the announcement.
