According to the data of the Republic Institute of Statistics, Serbia’s foreign trade in goods for the period from January to September recorded an increase in exports and a decrease in imports compared to the same period of the previous year.
Serbia’s foreign trade in goods from January to the end of September this year amounted to 48.7 billion euros, which is a decrease of 1.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Goods worth 21.5 billion euros were exported, which is a growth of 5.6 percent, while imports decreased by 6.1 percent, to 27.2 billion euros.
The deficit amounted to around 5.7 billion euros and is 33.9 percent lower compared to the same period of the previous year.
The coverage of imports by exports is 79 percent and is higher than the coverage in the same period of the previous year, when it was 70.1 percent.
