Prime Minister Ana Brnabić spoke with representatives of the South Korean company “SK bioscience”, which deals with the development and production of vaccines and other biological medicines, about the establishment of cooperation and the possibility of Serbia becoming their center for production, research and development, i.e. a hub for Europe, announced is from the Government.
SK is the second largest conglomerate of the Republic of South Korea, and this high-level visit, as the Government reminds, marks the beginning of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, which the Prime Minister signed in Seoul on September 8 with the companies “SK bioscience” and “Frontier Pharma”.
These companies are considering the possibility of a significant joint investment, especially due to research and development opportunities, which are opened by the construction of the BIO4 campus in the field of biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics and biodiversity. “Frontier Pharma” is also the owner of the company Zdravlje from Leskovac – it is stated in the announcement.
Ana Brnabić said during the meeting that the Government of Serbia is committed to the development of innovations and that their project is welcome in Serbia, for which they will have full support.
You are not only investors in science and technology, but our partners – the Prime Minister pointed out and added that the Government of Serbia has placed special emphasis on the development of artificial intelligence and biotechnology for the further economic development of Serbia.
The general director of the company “SK bioscience” An Jevaj said that the employees of that company are ready to transfer their rich experience to their colleagues in Serbia.
