Serbia’s real economic growth was 7.7 percent in the third quarter

The real growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Serbia in the third quarter of 2021 amounted to 7.7 percent on an annual level, the Republic Bureau of Statistics announced.
According to the seasonally adjusted data series, GDP grew by 1.6 percent in the quarter of July-September compared to the previous quarter.
Observed by activities, significant real growth of gross value added was recorded at the annual level in the wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles, transport and storage, and accommodation and food services, by 17 percent, then in construction by 15.8 percent and in the sector of professional, scientific, innovative and technical activities and administrative and auxiliary service activities by 13.7 percent.
Observed by aggregates of GDP use, real growth was recorded in all aggregates compared to the third quarter of 2020.
Household final consumption expenditures increased by 8.2 percent, final consumption expenditures of non-profit institutions serving households by 6.8 percent, government final consumption expenditures by 7.8 percent, gross fixed capital formation by 12.6 percent, exports of goods and services by 22.5 percent and imports of goods and services by 22.9 percent, the statement said, Dnevnik reports.
