The issue of the single market in the Western Balkans is the most important issue for Serbia – believes Marko Cadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
As he says, our country attracted 60 percent of all foreign direct investments in the region last year, and all the economies of the region are important, so that the volume of foreign direct investments, which reached almost three billion euros last year, would have been even higher if a single regional market.
Cadez reminded that last year, despite the pandemic, Serbia had an increase in exports of agricultural and food products by 20 percent and a minimal decline in industrial production.
Also, speaking about the placement of goods in Kosovo and Metohija, Cadez says that after the signing of the Washington agreement, there is a great increase in turnover and states that the number of Serbian companies present in Kosovo and Metohija is slowly returning to the 2018 level. Currently, about 2,400 companies sell goods in Kosovo and Metohija, Novosti reports.
