Startups from Belgrade can receive up to 17 thousand euros for the development of an innovative idea

The City Administration of Belgrade has announced a public competition for the allocation of funds to support the development of innovative activities. Startup teams and micro companies that are registered and have their headquarters on the territory of Belgrade, are not older than three years and have a business innovative idea can apply for the competition.
A total of 8 thousand euros has been allocated, while each user can receive a maximum of 17 thousand euros. The money is intended for the development of an innovative idea in a period of no more than 12 months with the obligation to employ unemployed persons.
Expenses that can be financed with this money refer to membership in the Science and Technology Park Belgrade, salary costs (including all related taxes and contributions), purchase of equipment and tools for development needs, research and testing costs.
On the other hand, it is not possible to buy land or buildings from city money, pay taxes on property or representation, as well as travel expenses, interest, fines, environmental taxes, membership fees and the like.
Teams can be informed in more detail about the conditions on the city’s website, and the deadline for submitting applications is September 15, 2021, Nova Ekonomija reports.
