The General Director of the company “Telekom Serbia”, Vladimir Lucic, stated for Tanjug that the establishment of the company “Telekom” in Northern Macedonia, which will be called Mtel, started on Thursday.
Lucic pointed out that he would start working in a month, first by offering satellite television services, and by the end of the year, as he says, mobile telephony and optical internet services will be launched.
“For us, the decisions made at the economic forum in Skopje are very important, because we are a company that wants to be a leader in the region. We had plans to expand to the markets of Northern Macedonia and Albania, plans have existed since three years ago. We tried to enter the Albanian market by buying Albanian Telekom, but in the end we were stopped,” Lucic told Tanjug.
“The reason why I am in Skopje is that the establishment of the company Telekom Srbija in Northern Macedonia has started and it will be called Mtel, as our companies in Montenegro and BiH are called,” Lucic pointed out.
He stated that regional initiatives further erase the borders for the economy and added that this is important for Telekom, which wants to be present in all countries in the region, Bonitet reports.
