The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, stated that Serbia had a surplus of almost 200 million euros in June, and that a surplus of almost 300 million euros, is expected in the budget at the end of July.
“Our economy is much stronger than we even predicted at the beginning of the year when we planned the third aid package during the pandemic,” Mali said in the morning program of TV Prva, estimating that the growth will be around six percent by the end of the year.
Announcing the realization of the third package of aid for eliminating the consequences of the pandemic, he said that the package was worth almost two billion euros, reminding that within that aid, adult citizens will receive another 20 euros each.
Citizens who have applied for assistance of 30 + 30 euros and who have already received the first tranche do not have to apply.
Mali also announced that next week, 777 independent artists will receive state aid, and on August 1, the full minimum salary for employees in catering and tourism will be paid.
It is very important that the disposable income does not decrease, that economic activity does not slow down, said Mali, estimating that “even much larger and more developed countries” did not have aid packages like Serbia, N1 reports.
