Technology company Continental celebrated the hiring of 1,000 engineers at its Automotive Research and Development Center in Novi Sad.
The research and development center was opened in 2017, and Continental Automotive Serbia is one of the largest engineering companies in the country.
In the Center in Novi Sad, this company develops complete solutions for products for the auto industry, for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, such as dashboards, radars, cameras, control units for remote monitoring of vehicle position and parameters, access systems based on vehicle access using smartphones or remote unlocking.
In addition, they work on the development of control assemblies for the control of electrical systems in the vehicle, mobile applications and advanced active safety functions, head-up displays and display solutions, control panels, central input devices and information system control units.
Continental also invests in production, work on the expansion of the megafactory near Novi Sad began in June this year. Completion is expected by June next year, and the expanded facility will have a total area of more than 55,000 square meters.
In August of this year, the serial production of top technology solutions for screens began in the megafactory Continental Novi Sad, and it is planned to produce and export more than a million solutions for screens in 2024 and deliver them to manufacturers of premium cars around the world.

This company currently employs more than 1,600 people, mostly highly qualified software, system test, mechanical, electrical and industrial engineers. Of these, 1,000 engineers work in the Research and Development Center in Novi Sad, and around 600 engineers, technicians and highly trained operators are employed in the megafactory, also in Novi Sad.
