Women-run companies in Serbia will have access to a new eight-million-euro credit line approved by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Banca Intesa to finance women’s-run small and medium-sized enterprises, the statement said.
As it was pointed out, this is the fourth credit line that the EBRD provides for Banca Intesa within its Women in Business program, which was supported by donor funds from Sweden and Luxembourg.
It is also emphasized that, as the leading bank in Serbia, Banca Intesa is a key promoter of women’s economic inclusion and has so far placed about 15 million euros in loans to companies run by women.
The new credit line will help the bank meet growing demand after the corona virus crisis and further improve access to finance for women entrepreneurs, the statement said, Kamatica reports.
