The European Investment Bank is ready to support the economy of Serbia

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is ready to provide financial assistance to the economy of Serbia, it was said at the meeting of the Minister of Economy, Slobodan Cvetković, with representatives of the EIB.

Cvetković spoke with the head of the EIB unit for the Western Balkans, Kadir Bahcecik, the head of the regional representative office for the Western Balkans, Alessandro Bragonzi, and the project manager in Serbia, Olesya Muratova, the Ministry of Economy.

“Over 110 million euros of EIB funds, which will be placed through the Development Fund, will be an additional boost and stimulate the growth of the private sector and increase economic activities,” stated Cvetković.

He said that the Serbian economy is very interested in more favorable capital, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, which are of great importance for the functioning of the entire economy. EIB representatives emphasized that the bank’s support will strengthen Serbia’s economy, according to the announcement.
