The CEO of Srbijagas, Dušan Bajatović, stated that the gas consumption in Serbia will reach a record of 17 million cubic meters today. He added that citizens should not worry because there is enough gas for all consumers. “Everyone has gas, and Serbia doesn’t have to worry about that.

We have transportation capacities, and we have over 200 million cubic meters of reserves in Hungary, 380 million cubic meters in Banatski Dvor without the Russian part,” said Bajatović.

Regarding the gas price, Bajatović mentioned that it will certainly not change until May 1st, when there will be an assessment to determine the next steps. “We will not change the gas price until May 1st; then we will make some assessment, which means the price will remain the same.

Gas is currently the cheapest energy source, and there is enough of it; there will certainly be enough in the coming year,” stated Bajatović. He emphasized that Serbia has good relations with Hungarian energy companies.

“We will soon register our company in Hungary, probably also in Bulgaria, so Srbijagas will appear regionally in the coming period,” said Bajatović. He pointed out that from 2008 to the present, 19,000 kilometers of various gas pipelines have been built in Serbia.

According to Bajatović, the project for the gasification of Belgrade is delayed by one year due to paperwork and problems with connections in certain municipalities. “We will increase the number of workers and teams making connections in the field.

That’s the famous story, 780 euros over three years in dinars with VAT, together with the bill. We are a bit behind with that because there were problems in the supply chains; there weren’t enough of those sets, but now we have announced new public procurements, and I think it will be fine,” said Bajatović.

Commenting on the imposition of sanctions on Russia, Bajatović assessed that it is not a one-dimensional issue and added that Serbia needs political support from the Russian side to survive.
