The Koepfer company bought construction land in the Smederevo industrial zone, on which it plans to build a new production plant, it was announced from the Mayor’s office.
It is expected that the first phase will be realized by the middle of 2022, when a new factory plant on 3,000 m2 will be built.
The German company Koepfer is engaged in the production of gears for the automotive industry, and the opening of a new plant in Smederevo will, as it is stated, provide 250 new jobs.
Funds from the sale of land, slightly less than 720.3 thousand euros, will be invested in the construction of a new kindergarten in Smederevo, eKapija reports.
