The Government of Serbia has established a Working Group for the preparation of green bonds

The Government of Serbia has made a decision on the formation of a working group for the preparation, drafting and implementation of a framework document for the issuance of green bonds of the Republic of Serbia on the international financial market.
Green bonds are used to finance investments in the field of environmental protection.
The president of the working group is the Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, it was published in the Official Gazette.
The interdepartmental working group consists of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Ministry of European Integration.
The working group will report on its work to the government and investors at least once a year.
Also, the Working Group can engage experts from various fields, request from state administration bodies, public companies and other organizations and companies data, documents and reports, Dnevnik reports.
