The city of Zaječar has announced the initiation of the detailed regulation plan for the construction of the Ventus hybrid power plant, including the establishment of an energy storage system. The hybrid plant, consisting of solar and wind power, is planned to be built in the cadastral municipalities of Glogovica, Dubočane, Mala Jasikova, and Koprivnica.

The detailed plan will be developed to assess the spatial possibilities of the location, immediate and wider surroundings, as well as existing and planned infrastructure connections. This aims to find an optimal spatial-programmatic solution for the location and construction of the hybrid power plant, incorporating solar and wind energy components along with the associated infrastructure.

The Urbanism Department of the city of Zaječar could not provide further information regarding the investor and the capacity of the future facility. Ventus industria, the company associated with the planned power plant in Zaječar, signed an agreement in August 2022 with the Municipality of Ravno in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the construction of wind and solar power combinations exceeding 100 MW capacity for electricity generation.
