2,706 construction permits were issued in July

In Serbia, 2,706 construction permits were issued in July, which represents an increase of 14.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, the Republic Institute of Statistics announced.

Of the total number of permits issued in July, 82.9 percent of permits refer to buildings, and 17.1 percent to other structures.

If only buildings are considered, 81.8 percent of permits were issued for residential buildings, and 18.2 percent for non-residential buildings, while the majority of other buildings are related to pipelines, communication and electrical lines (67.7 percent).

According to the permits issued in July 2023 in Serbia, the construction of 3,099 apartments was reported, with an average area of ​​72.2 square meters. Out of the total number of apartments in new residential buildings, 12.1 percent of apartments will be built in buildings with one apartment, with an average area of ​​146.5 square meters, and 86.2 percent of apartments will be built in buildings with three apartments and more apartments, and their the average area will be significantly smaller and will amount to 60.5 square meters.

The projected value of the new construction works in July 2023 is 85.7 percent of the total projected value of the works.
