Almost two billion euros in gold are growing in the vaults

Gross foreign exchange reserves amounted to 16.5 billion euros at the end of 2021, which is three billion euros more than at the end of 2020.

The governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Jorgovanka Tabaković, said that and added that there are close to two billion euros in gold in our vaults.

At the end of 2021, net foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 13.7 billion euros, Tabaković added at the presentation of the February report on inflation.

We remind you that the NBS recently announced that the gross foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank were reduced in January and that at the end of that month they amounted to 16,110,800,000 euros and were 343.7 million lower than at the end of the previous year.

At the end of January, net foreign exchange reserves (foreign exchange reserves reduced by banks’ foreign exchange assets on the basis of required reserves and other bases) amounted to EUR 13,477,600,000 and were EUR 226.4 million less than at the end of the previous year, Bizlife writes.
