The MP of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Milutin Mrkonjic, stated today that companies from Serbia, instead of foreign ones, should work on the realization of projects for maintenance and reconstruction of road bridges between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He announced that SPS deputies would vote to confirm the agreement on the maintenance and reconstruction of these bridges between the Government of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We have institutes that have been doing this for years. You have to fight in every way for our companies to do those projects,” Mrkonjic emphasized and said that domestic companies “have to work harder, especially designers”.
“Nowhere in the world do designers come from abroad, but domestic companies work,” Mrkonjic said.
The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic, stated that they are cooperating with many foreign partners who provide financing and ask for the extension of their contractors.
Momirovic said that domestic contractors “have a minimum of 60 to 65 percent share, and in some projects more than 70 percent”, stating that, wherever possible, they include CIP, the Road Institute, N1 reports.
