Serbia’s budget surplus in the first two months is 63.5 million euros

Serbia’s budget surplus in the first two months of this year amounted to 63.5 million euros, the Ministry of Finance announced.
Revenues were realized in the amount of 1.8 billion euros, and expenditures were made in the amount of 1.7 billion euros, it is stated on the website of the ministry.
In February, a deficit of 49 million euros was realized.
In February, revenues in the amount of 877 million euros were collected, of which tax revenues amounted to 790 million euros.
The largest part of tax revenues in February referred to the payment of VAT in the amount of 371 million euros and excise duties in the amount of 253 million euros.
Non-tax revenues amounted to 84.7 million euros, and the inflow of donations in February amounted to 1.6 million euros.
Expenditures were made in the amount of 927 million euros.
Expenditures for employees in February amounted to 226 million euros, interest payments amounted to 159 million euros, capital expenditures amounted to 106 million euros, and transfers of OOSO (PIO fund, RHIF, NES, SOVO fund) 150 million euros.
At the level of the general government, in the first two months, a fiscal surplus in the amount of 147 million euros and a primary fiscal surplus in the amount of 453 million euros were realized.
According to the annual plan for the execution of the general government budget, a fiscal deficit in the amount of 501.6 million euros is planned for this period.
At the end of February, Serbia’s public debt was 53.5 percent of GDP
Serbia’s public debt at the end of February this year amounted to 27 billion euros, which was 53.5 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance announced.
The public debt at the end of January was 27.14 billion euros, or 53.7 percent of GDP, according to the ministry’s website.
At the end of last year, Serbia’s public debt amounted to 26.66 billion euros, or 57.4 percent of GDP, Danas reports.
