Modern machines and equipment have been installed in the facility, so four times more refractory material will be produced than before.

As it was announced more than a year ago, in truth, with a ten-day delay, yesterday a modern factory of refractory material was opened in Kraljevo. In the world, the prestigious Chinese company “Punai”, which deals with this production, with a detailed reconstruction of the hall and the installation of fully automated production lines, started one of the plants of the former “Magnochrom”. It is a former factory for the production of bricks bound with resin and clay, which was built at the end of the eighties and at that time was equipped with the most modern equipment.

However, “Magnochrom” failed in the nineties of the last century, three factories changed hands after bankruptcy, and the aforementioned one, also from that status, was bought by the Belgrade company “Malbex” in 2018. After three years, production stopped, so in 2021, this plant was sold to the Chinese company “Punai”, which immediately began to restore the facilities and install the most modern machines and equipment.

Our corporation supplies refractory material to about 70 ironworks in the world, and since there is already one here in Serbia, we decided to invest in this factory, so in the first phase we invested about 10.8 million euros. We count on an initial annual production of forty thousand tons. In the continuation of the investment, the plan is to reach the planned annual volume of production of 70 thousand tons of bricks and other firefighting material worth about 70 million euros. Otherwise, the facility will be the most modern in Europe in this production area. – said Fan Jun Ling, general manager of the “Punai” factory in Serbia.

Due to such modern and automated production, as announced, around thirty workers will initially be employed here, and later significantly more.

In the presence of numerous domestic and foreign guests, Dr. Predrag Terzić, mayor of Kraljevo, thanked the representatives of Chinese investors.

Following and providing all the help of foreign and domestic investors, we have invested a considerable amount of money in this part of the city in the reconstruction of the infrastructure, so we have also built a modern road, the so-called northern ring road around Kraljevo, which by erecting production plants in this area and from other our and foreign businessmen obviously pays quickly – said Mayor Terzić.
