Skoda is the best-selling car in Serbia

In the first six months of 2021, 12,752 new cars were sold in Serbia, and the three best-selling brands are Skoda, Fiat and Toyota. Kia and Mercedes-Benz won a good position, some brands sold only one in six months, the Nova S portal reported.

In the first half of each month, data on sales and registration of new vehicles in Serbia for the previous month are published. Recently, the results for June 2021 arrived, and now we can put together a picture that reveals what our people bought the most, but also the least in the first half of the year when it comes to new vehicles.

Sales of all types of motor vehicles in Serbia, which, in addition to passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), also include mopeds, motorcycles, heavy quadricycles and trucks, stopped at a total of 19,256 after the first six months.

Ten best-selling brands of new cars

In front of you is a top list with car brands that were sold the most in Serbia during the first six months of this year. When we know the results for last year, it is clear that the situation, at least as far as placement is concerned, has not changed significantly. Last year, Skoda, Fiat, Renault, Toyota and Hyundai were in the top five. As we can see, now the new player is Kia which has improved its position and entered the top five.

In addition to the top 10 brands, there are other brands that our people love and appreciate, and it seems that most of them recorded better sales in the first six months, taking into account the performance from the whole of last year. Among them are Alfa Romeo (22), Ford (93), Honda (63), Jaguar (34), Jeep (292), Land Rover (69), Mazda (379), Mini (29), Nissan (326), Peugeot (294), Seat (103), Suzuki (234), Volvo (205). Compared to last year’s figures, Jeep, Mazda, Suzuki and Volvo recorded excellent results in the first six months. Brands that we did not mention were sold only a few..

Who sold the most in June As for the past month, most passenger vehicles were sold by the following brands: Skoda (446), Fiat (330), Volkswagen (187), Toyota (183), Kia (182), Dacia (155), Renault (152), Hyundai (144), Mercedes-Benz (113), Jeep (104).

Other brands sold less than 100 passenger vehicles in June.

Mercedes, BMW or Audi

It is no surprise that only the cheapest and most expensive things are sold in Serbia, so it is the same with cars. Among the premium brands of German production, the most passenger cars have been sold by Mercedes-Benz since the beginning of the year, 481. Moreover, this brand is in a high 11th place in terms of total sales in Serbia. It is followed by BMW with 443, Audi with 312 and Porsche with 60 cars sold in the first 6 months of 2021. Tesla, Rolls-Royce, Lexus and Lancia are brands that sold in Serbia in just one piece in six months.

Fiat is the most sought after in the LKV segment

Out of the total number of sold vehicles (19,256), according to the Serbian Association of Vehicle and Parts Importers, 2,737 units belong to the LKV segment, and in the first half of the year the most bought were Fiat (611), Dacia (388), Skoda (340), Volkswagen (296) and Citroen (201). As for mopeds, in the first 6 months, 623 units were sold, 1,476 motorcycles, 577 trucks, and 1,091 heavy four-wheelers, Nova S reports.
