Technological development projects – just a step away from Serbia now

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, spoke with the President and Vice-President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Djinan Lićun and Konstantin Limitovski, about future cooperation projects, from digitization and science to energy, infrastructure and environmental protection.

As stated in the announcement, the Prime Minister of Serbia emphasized that she sees the future primarily in the field of biotechnology, i.e. the construction of the BIO4 campus, which should connect areas important for the sustainable development of the country.

Brnabić pointed out that Serbia has ready projects that it can implement in cooperation with this multilateral development institution and added that she sees the AIIB first of all as a partner in the implementation of future projects.

The Prime Minister stated that Serbia has made great progress in the field of digitization and development of artificial intelligence and that these are areas that can provide the country with safe economic growth.

According to her, the Government of Serbia has strategically decided to invest in infrastructure, green energy and the IT industry.

In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, it is stated that the Chairman of the AIIB Board of Directors, Đin Lićun, assessed that Serbia is a country that is safe for investment and cooperation, and that international investors are confirmation of a stable business environment.

Lićun also emphasized that the AIIB is interested in projects that are traditional in their business, such as infrastructure and railways, but that there is room for cooperation in the areas of digitization, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
