The Government of Serbia has adopted a strategy for the development of startup ecosystems

At the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Strategy for the Development of Startup Ecosystems of the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2025.
The Strategy for the Development of Startup Ecosystems of the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2025 determines the goals and measures for the development of startup ecosystems whose implementation should result in accelerated development of startup ecosystems, encouraging innovation in the economy of the Republic of Serbia, it is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Education.
The working group established by the Government of the Republic of Serbia consisted of representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office, relevant ministries, key institutions, representatives of support organizations, economy, financial institutions, and other actors important for the ecosystem to best support the comprehensive development of the startup community.
– Adoption of this strategic document harmonizes the work of various individual initiatives within the ecosystem, and provides a strategic and systematic approach to public institutions to support the creation of an environment that will start at different stages of development (risk sharing, knowledge sharing, and access to information and funding ) facilitate business and create new opportunities. The strategy for the development of startup ecosystems also includes the introduction of content on startup entrepreneurship at all levels of education, as well as the improvement of infrastructure and program support for startups at an early stage of development – the Ministry pointed out.
By expanding the range of products, services and business models, startups contribute to technological development, influencing the creation of a modern economy and innovative products available to one society, paving the way for the development of new activities based on modern technologies and innovative ideas, eKapija reports.
