The Tax Administration of Serbia increased tax collection

Director of the Tax Administration of Serbia, Dragana Marković, stated today at the Kopaonik Business Forum that the collection of budget revenues under the authority of that service last year amounted to 2,593 billion dinars, which is 124.2 percent more than in 2014, when the collection amounted to 1,157 billion dinars.

According to her, in recent years, during the transformation of the Tax Administration, a trend of increasing the amount of newly discovered income was observed, and as a result of the application of improved risk analysis criteria, which resulted in a smaller number of controls, the Tax Administration announced.

“The trend of reducing the number of controls is the result of intensive engagement in creating an environment that encourages voluntary compliance with regulations and undertaking a whole set of measures with which the Tax Administration encouraged those who do not comply with tax regulations to do so, as well as those who are regular in being more compliant in the future.” more motivated,” said Marković.

The total amount of calculated newly discovered revenues in 2023 is almost 35 billion dinars, which is 79 percent more than in 2019.

She also pointed out that with the introduction of eFiscalization in May 2022, a strong step forward was made in the fight against the gray economy and contributed to the general organization of the community through compliance with regulations.
