People who clean apartments in the capital earn from 600 to 1,000 dinars per hour, while previously the hourly rate for these services was between 300 and 400 dinars.

Apartment cleaning services are increasingly in demand, regardless of the fact that prices have soared recently. There is work, so the maids are waiting for several weeks.

It is increasingly difficult to find a cleaner who works without an intermediary, because many of them are hired by various agencies for cleaning apartments. Even when a suitable maintenance woman is found, there is a long wait for her service.

– I have regular customers whose apartments I clean once a week or depending on when they need it. There is a lot of work, sometimes they are waiting for me. The price per hour is between 600 and 700 dinars, but if I bring my own chemicals and all the necessary things for cleaning, then the price goes up to 800 dinars. In winter, there is slightly less work, usually there is a rush around holidays and celebrations, while in summer, cleaning is more common – AnÄ‘ela, who has been doing this work for years, tells Novosti.

The requirements that cleaners have in the field are different, from cleaning the apartment after painting, washing windows and clothes, to ironing laundry. Women who do this job work five hours a day on average, but it also depends on the facility and the service that the employers are looking for.

As one of the agencies said, above all, the safety of their employees is important to them:

– For the safety of our cleaners, we have a requirement that two women go to the field, and they will work for at least four hours. The price for those four hours for both employees is 4,600 dinars. We do everything, deep washing of furniture, carpets, disinfection of apartments, cleaning after painting, as well as arranging the building before moving in. Also, employers ask us for “smaller” things – washing dishes, vacuuming, washing clothes and laundry. The response is great and we constantly have new clients to whom we go – they say in this agency.
