Memorandum of Cooperation with Group 42 for the Development of Artificial Intelligence

The Office for Information Technologies and Electronic Government of the Government of Serbia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the company Group 42 (G42) from the United Arab Emirates today at the Expo 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai, which envisages cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and its faster development in Serbia.

“We have made the first step and now we will form teams and we expect a concrete commercial contract with G42 in the next few months,” Jovanovic said, answering Tanjug’s question when the signing of the contract will follow.

G42 is one of the world’s leading companies in the development of artificial intelligence and cloud computing based in Abu Dhabi.

The document was signed by the director of G42 “Cloud Technology” Talal Al Qaisi and the director of the IT Office Mihailo Jovanovic, within the investment conference held as part of the celebration of the Serbian Statehood Day in Dubai.

Jovanovic said that it is a leading company from the UAE that deals with the development of artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

“In the coming period, we will work together on the development of artificial intelligence, especially in the health, economy and finance sectors. This memorandum of understanding is a good basis for a potential investment in hybrid cloud infrastructure, which would be located in the state data center in Kragujevac.” he stated.

He pointed out that Serbia is recognized as a country that develops artificial intelligence and as a leader in the region.

This means faster economic development of Serbia and GDP growth, as well as a better life for our citizens, Jovanovic pointed out.
